On October 23–25, 2024, the UK Department for Business and Trade led a delegation of UK tech-in-logistics companies and start-ups to Miami to explore opportunities and connections with relevant stakeholders and buyers. As part of this initiative, EACC Florida hosted a seminar “Why Florida? What Business Leaders Need to Know When Considering Expanding into the US/Florida.”

Among the distinguished panelists was Benedicte Boutrouille, Senior Attorney at Fakhoury Global Immigration HSI. Leveraging her extensive expertise in immigration law and her deep understanding of the complexities of cross-border business expansion, Benedicte provided invaluable insights into navigating U.S. immigration pathways for foreign entrepreneurs and companies. She addressed key visa options, compliance challenges, and how to successfully transition to the U.S. market, emphasizing the critical role of talent mobility in establishing a robust business presence in Florida.

Benedicte’s contributions highlight the importance of immigration planning as a foundational aspect of a company’s U.S. market entry strategy. Her insights, coupled with the diverse perspectives of other panelists, strengthened the dialogue, offering the audience a comprehensive overview of the legal, financial, and cultural considerations when expanding their international business into Florida.

At Fakhoury HSI, we build partnerships with local communities and innovation hubs to drive economic growth and support global talent. Much like EACC Florida's efforts to equip international businesses for U.S. success, Fakhoury HSI collaborates with universities, accelerators, and entrepreneurial hubs to provide immigration solutions and educational programs. These initiatives strengthen local economies by connecting diverse talent with opportunities, fostering innovation, and supporting seamless transitions for high-skilled individuals into the U.S. workforce.
